The Metro East Park and Recreation District (MEPRD), a public body responsible for development of parks, greenways, and trails in the southwestern Illinois counties of Madison and St. Clair, is soliciting proposals from qualified professional consultants to prepare a Long Range Development Plan.

The consultant's scope of work includes systems level planning of greenway facilities, public participation program, refinement of MEPRD mission, goals, and objectives, development of a strategy and project evaluation process for allocating Proposition C funds, and recommendations concerning administrative organization.

Interested parties may request a copy of the Request for Proposals (RFP), which contains submittal requirements, forms and other information necessary to furnish a responsive proposal to MEPRD, by contacting Mrs. Rene' St. Peters at the offices of Metro East Park and Recreation District, either by telephone at (618) 356-4905, by written request to the address below, or downloaded by clicking here. 

Proposers are advised that MEPRD will convene a pre-proposal conference at 10:00 a.m., on March 24, 2010 at the Metro East Park and Recreation District office, for the purpose of responding to proposers' questions concerning any of the contents of the RFP.

To be considered, the proposer must submit nine (9) copies of its proposal in a sealed envelope, clearly marked "MEPRD Long Range Development Plan" to the address below by 3:00 p.m. on April 9, 2010.
