MEPRD Funded Projects - FY 2005

Special thanks to the dedicated and hard working project sponsors who successfully completed the following projects.

Silver Creek Nature Trail, Mascoutah, IL

This project consisted of the installation of concrete apron and asphalt trails at the Nature Preserve near Mascoutah, IL.

Three Springs Park Phase I, Shiloh IL

 This project involved the construction of multipurpose trails, amenities such as parking spaces, benches, and handicap access to these amenities within Three Springs Park.

Family Sports Complex Acquisition, O'Fallon, IL

 MEPRD provided funding support to the City of O'Fallon for the acquisition of land to develop the O'Fallon Family Sports Complex.

City Park Improvements, Dupo, IL

This project involved the installation of various park improvements: HDPE pipe and appurtenances, installation of a security camera system, a bathroom ventilation system, trees, benches, and tables.

Outdoor Recreation Park, Brooklyn, IL

Funding was provided for the landscaping of Brooklyn Community Park and the development of the park's baseball field, including claying the infield and sodding and seeding the outfield.

Piasa Park, Alton, IL

MEPRD provided the funding for the creation of the Piasa Park adjacent to the famous Piasa Bird along the Great River Road in Alton, IL.

Veterans Memorial, East St. Louis, IL

This project consisted of resetting the stonework on the Veterans Memorial along 25th St., across from Jones Park in East St. Louis, IL.
