MEPRD Funded Projects - FY 2008

Special thanks to the dedicated and hard working project sponsors who successfully completed the following projects.

 

Engelmann Farm Acquisition, Shiloh Valley, St. Clair County, IL

The land known as Engelmann Farm is being acquired and developed for the purpose of providing additional outdoor recreation and natural resource conservation areas.  This area will be classified as a regional park and recreation area.

 

Green Space Trail, Glen Carbon, IL

 MEPRD funding helped in the development of a 1.65 mi, 10' wide bike path from the Nickel Plate Trail to the Ronald Foster Heritage Trail.

 

Monticello Bike Trail, Lewis & Clark Community College

The
funding provided by MEPRD for this trail helped in clearing and disposal of brush and trees, grading, seeding, aggregate base, a bituminous surface trail and signage.  The trail is 1800 feet in length and 10 feet wide.

 

O' Fallon Family Sports Park Trail, O'Fallon, IL

MEPRD provided funding for the development of a pedestrian/bicycle trail around the outer perimeter of the O'Fallon Family Sports Park.
